Medical technology supplier Aptvision will roll out its VisionRIS-Professional radiology information system on a software-as-a-service (SaaS) basis at Sana Health Diagnostic’s clinic in Dublin.
Sana provides a wide range of diagnostic and screening blood tests, both at its clinic and through home blood testing kits, alongside various ultrasound services.
Its implementation of Aptvision’s RIS solution will include booking, performance and reporting of ultrasound scans.
The secure, cloud-hosted platform is being offered on a pay-per-use model that doesn’t require significant upfront investment.
Sana Health Diagnostic clinic director John Cronin said the solution was an ideal fit.
“We needed a reliable and secure technology platform to manage our ultrasound services efficiently,” Mr Cronin said.
“VisionRIS-Professional SaaS not only meets our operational needs but also supports our goal of delivering high-quality healthcare services. The cloud-based system offers the flexibility to expand our operations – in both size and geography – seamlessly as we grow.”
Aptvision business development manager Anthony Dooher said the company had operated in the Irish market for a number of years and has been able to tailor the RIS accordingly.
“For Sana, that means ensuring compliance with localised laws on data governance and security – crucial in any industry, but particularly when handling such sensitive patient records,” Mr Dooher said.
Aptvision specialises in a unified healthcare information system (HIS) that manages the patient end-to-end, streamlining the booking, performance, and reporting of diagnostic procedures. The product suite includes a patient portal, web-based standalone online booking systems, and centralised network scheduling.
Its core RIS manages the whole workflow from a GP referral to communication and planning, management and preparation, scan delivery, reporting and results. It is picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) and vendor archive neutral (VNA).
Aptvision’s RIS was recently integrated with Canon Medical Systems Europe (CMSE)enterprise imaging solutions, including PACS, VNA, Viewer, and Advanced Visualisation, across the UK, Ireland and the Nordic regions.
