Ministry holds firm on National Enrolment Service funding

New Zealand's Ministry of Health has confirmed it will not step in to fund the activation and ongoing maintenance costs of the National Enrolment Service (NES) for users of Medtech's practice management software, saying discussions between vendors and practices are a matter for them.

Medtech informed its practices in March that it would charge $675 to activate both the NES and the NZ ePrescription Service (NZePS), along with a monthly fee of $100 for maintenance and support for both.
