US electronic medical record giant Epic has been included as one of four shortlisted vendors to provide a preferred practice management system (PMS) to general practices in three North Island primary health organisations.

Wellington-based Compass Health, Central PHO and the Hutt Valley's Te Awakairangi Health Network are jointly running a project to review, evaluate and select a preferred PMS for each respective GP network as existing PMSs in use are due to be upgraded.
