Shepherd takes on tough gig with myGov

Long-serving HISA board member Tam Shepherd has been appointed as chief digital officer with the Department of Human Services (DHS) and one of his main jobs is a makeover for the much-maligned myGov portal, ITnews reports.

DHS is currently in the midst of evaluating contenders for the massive welfare payments infrastructure transformation (WPIT, pronounced 'whippet') project but has meanwhile been roundly criticised for problems plaguing myGov, particularly by Centrelink users.
