HL7 NZ has elected four new members to its board and has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Health Information Standards Organisation (HISO) detailing how the two organisations can work together to use standards for the good of interoperability.
HL7 NZ has also ended its contract for services with the NZ Ministry of Health to concentrate on being a membership-driven organisation with greater independence from government. It now has 29 organisational members, with the Ministry also joining as an organisational member this year.
