WA Health releases request for tender for medical imaging platform

The WA Department of Health has released its long-awaited request for tender for a new medical imaging platform (MIP), which is set to replace the legacy Agfa Quadrat radiology information system and Agfa Impax picture archiving and communication system used since 2003.

WA Health is looking for a proven off the shelf platform that includes a vendor neutral archive (VNA) to be rolled out throughout the state's hospitals, including the tertiary hospitals in metropolitan Perth, at an expected budget of around $52 million.
