Melbourne's Northern Health has rolled out 34 wireless glucometers that automatically link patient blood glucose measurements with patient data in Northern Hospital's iPM patient administration system.

The glucometers are part of the new Northern Inpatient Diabetes Service (NIDS) and will be integrated with the health service's electronic medical record when that is implemented in the next few years.
