More unsuspecting people are likely to have received a letter informing them a deceased relative is getting a My Health Record as it became clear that unless Medicare has been informed of a person's death or change of address, phantom records will be created.

News Corp reported on Saturday that three people had received a letter informing them that a deceased relative would have a My Health Record created for them unless they opted out by May 27.
