International standards development organisation Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) will focus on two emerging standards – FHIR and DICOMweb – in addition to medical device integration at its connectathon and showcase at the Health Informatics Conference (HIC) in Brisbane next year.
IHE Australia, which is holding a webinar next week on how healthcare providers and software vendors can take part, held a highly successful half-day workshop in advance of HIC 2016 on developments in interconnecting patient care devices (PCD) to electronic medical records (EMRs), both in the hospital and the home.
