Residential and community aged care provider Feros Care has launched a new trial in its quest to support residents and older people living at home by using simple, easily available technology, creating a 'virtual senior centre' through tablet computers to connect seniors to social activities and healthcare information broadcast online.
Feros Care, which has several representatives including CEO Jennene Buckley presenting at the Health Informatics New Zealand (HiNZ) conference in Auckland this week, is a recognised leader in using video conferencing and other telehealth technologies to support residents in its three residential aged care facilities and for its clients in the community.
