Feds expand subsidy of FreeStyle Libre glucose monitoring system

The Australian government has expanded its subsidy of the FreeStyle Libre flash glucose monitoring system, which uses a sensor worn on the back of the arm that connects to a reader or mobile phone app.

The $300 million continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) initiative was first rolled out in April 2017 for children and young people aged under 21 with type 1 diabetes.
