DoH proposing a “development sprint” to fast-track ePrescribing software roll-out

The Department of Health plans a “development sprint” with medical and pharmacy software vendors over the next eight weeks to fast-track the roll-out of electronic prescribing capability as the coronavirus outbreak is declared a pandemic.

Under the coronavirus national health plan, the department says ePrescribing and dispensing implementation will be fast tracked for up to 80 per cent of general practices and community pharmacies over the next eight weeks.
