Curtin University has confirmed that it has axed its online undergraduate degree in health information management (HIM), delivering what the Health Information Management Association of Australia (HIMAA) is calling a “cannon ball through the workforce hopes of a vital profession”.

A Curtin University spokesperson said students currently admitted to the Bachelor of Health Sciences degree who have selected the health information management major will not be affected by the decision provided they maintain their enrolment.
