The federal, state and territory health ministers have signed an agreement establishing ongoing financial support and governance arrangements for the Australian Digital Health Agency (ADHA), which is due to set up shop on July 1.
According to a communique issued following the COAG Health Council (CHC) meeting in Perth last week, the new Inter-Governmental Agreement on Digital Health (IGA) has been developed jointly through the E-Health Working Group (EHWG), which consists of state and territory health department CIOs and the special adviser to the Department of Health, Paul Madden.
