Telehealth service Coviu has been integrated with the CareRight web-based platform to provide a seamless way of managing patient records and facilitating telehealth consultations.
Developed by Adelaide’s Clintel Systems, the CareRight platform includes an integrated patient administration system, electronic medical record and billing and claiming capabilities, and is used in a variety of clinical settings, especially day hospitals and by medical specialists.
The new integration with Coviu uses APIs to allow clinicians using CareRight’s platform to set up telehealth consultation appointment types.
The feature allows clinicians to configure booking forms and appointment notifications, ensuring that appointments are published to Coviu with ease. The appointment details are visible in both the CareRight platform’s Appointment Details section and the Coviu portal.
According to a Clintel spokesperson, updates and cancellations can easily be managed with automatic synchronisation between Coviu and CareRight, which ensures a constant flow of real-time information and keeps both platforms up to date. Patients also receive a link to their telehealth appointment session.
“This integration marks a significant milestone in healthcare technology, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare delivery,” the spokesperson said.
“Clinicians can now leverage the best of both Coviu and CareRight, creating a more streamlined and patient-centric approach to healthcare. The seamless integration between EMR and telehealth platforms is poised to elevate the standard of care, making it more accessible and efficient for both providers and patients.”
