Bulk-billed telehealth item part of $2.4 billion package for coronavirus

The federal government will introduce new MBS items on Friday that will allow doctors, nurses and mental health practitioners to provide telehealth services to people isolated at home due to the coronavirus.

In a welcome move, they will also apply to people aged over 70, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged over 50, people with chronic health conditions or who have compromised immune systems, parents with new babies and pregnant women.
