Apple releases ECG app with aFib notifications on Apple Watch in Australia

Apple has made its ECG app for Apple Watch series 4, 5 and 6 available in Australia with the latest iOS and watchOS software updates.

The feature is a direct-to-consumer product that enables users to take an electrocardiogram from their wrist. It has an irregular rhythm notification feature that will also occasionally check heart rhythms in the background and send a notification if an irregular heart rhythm that appears to be atrial fibrillation (aFib) is identified.
