US-based EMR vendor Allscripts and local EMR developer Core Medical Solutions (CMS) plan to offer a platform of complementary products to new and existing customers but will retain their Sunrise and BOSSnet brands following the multinational's acquisition of Adelaide's CMS earlier this week.

CMS will also retain its base in Adelaide, where it was first established by hospital doctors Rohan Ward and Marc Belej 15 years ago, and where Allscripts has its major Australian client, the South Australian Department for Health.
