All Australian states and territories have now made QR code-based check-in apps available barring Queensland, with all making it mandatory for contact tracing in a number of different businesses and venues, including healthcare and residential care premises in South Australia.
The Victorian government released a free QR Code Service on November 30, although businesses can also use existing QR code solutions. The Victorian government is now developing an application programming interface to allow these systems to link directly into DHHS contact tracing systems when check-in data is required.
