A much delayed trial of using CCTV in residential aged care facilities for resident safety is now under way in two SA Health facilities in Adelaide.

The trial is using an artificial intelligence-enabled audio-visual surveillance and monitoring system developed by local electronic security solutions firm Sturdie Trade Services, which can detect falls, calls for help and one- and two-way violence.
