NZ government to fund rebuild of National Immunisation Register

The New Zealand government has allocated $1.4 million for a business case to rebuild its National Immunisation Register (NIR), part of a $23 million package aimed at strengthening the country's immunisation system.

Hundreds of thousands of young adults will be offered measles vaccinations in the new campaign, with District Health Boards asked to plan and deliver innovative and localised ways to get young adults immunised.
