Health insurer HCF has partnered with digital health platform Healthshare to allow GPs and patients to search for specialists participating in HCF's Known Gap or No Gap scheme, with the GP than able to use Healthshare's referrals platform to automatically populate a referral.

Healthshare launched its specialist referrals app on the MedicalDirector Sidebar in March last year, allowing GPs to search for convenient specialists and write a referral that is automatically populated with both the patient's information drawn from the practice management system and the specialist's from Healthshare's directory with the click of a button.
