The New Zealand Ministry of Health has still not made a decision on a permanent leader for the National Health IT Board months after announcing a major restructure of the department, but it appears the government's commitment to a national electronic health record (EHR) is still on track.
Director-General of Health Chai Chuah announced a big shake-up of the Ministry last December to come into effect on March 1, but many of those appointed to the leadership positions are still in an acting role, including a new chief technology and digital services officer.
