Budget 2016: $50m for myGov, information office saved from chopping block

The Department of Human Services (DHS) has been allocated $43.2 million over four years in the federal budget for the continuing operations of myGov as well as some money towards fixing some of the problems that have been plaguing the platform.

myGov, which consumers must use to access the My Health Record (MyHR) system and for Medicare transactions among others, has come in for severe criticism for repeated failures including what the department itself calls its ”staggering” log-on error rate.
