The preliminary findings of an evaluation into WA's $500 million Southern Inland Health Initiative (SIHI) show significant improvements in emergency medical care through the use of technology, particularly telehealth, as well as better access to health services and better support for clinicians living and working in the region.
Funded by the WA government’s Royalties for Regions program, SIHI began in 2011 and also includes a capital works program and a health workforce and health services improvement program.
